Elizabeth Bear is the Hugo, Sturgeon, Locus, and Astounding Award winning author of over thirty books and more than a hundred short stories. Her current space opera series in the White Space universe consists of Ancestral Night, Machine, and the forthcoming Folded Sky (2025).
Notable short works include "Tideline" (Hugo and Sturgeon Award), "Shoggoths in Bloom" (Hugo and Locus Award), and "Dolly," which is currently under development as a feature film by a major streaming platform.
She lives in Western Massachusetts with four cats, two horses, and her spouse, author Scott Lynch.
